Any of you guys remember pulling guard duty for this conference? All I know us that I was short at the time .. very short. Only about 4 months to go before my ETS .... I also remember the Pope coming to Monterey around the same time period.

Yes, Nasty was true to it's name, but in a good way when we had to train. Not sure how future Nasty's were .. I've heard from some sources that they really got Nasty (in a bad way) after 1990 .. but then came around again before they were deactivated in 1993.
Would love to find some pictures of the 4th Battalion deactivation ceremony ... anyone?
