Buffalo Brother, Randy Lewis

I've posted before about Randy Lewis, but wanted to post some more. For those of you who didn't see the original post, Randy served with the 4th Battalion during Operation Just Cause as a Medic. He served from 1986 to 1990 and was attached to C and A companies (A during Just Cause.) When he got out in 1990, he was a NCO (E-5.) Fast forward several years, after college, etc .. Randy again heard the call and re-enlisted. Randy has been in Mosul, Iraq for the past year serving as a Infantry Line Platoon Leader with the 1st Battalion, 17th Infantry regiment. I'm honored to be associated with men like Randy who have served the Regiment with such distinction. A Combat Medics Badge wasn't good enough for Randy, now he'll be sporting the Combat Infantryman's Badge as well ... Randy, Drinks are on me if we ever get the opportunity to meet.

Note the John Deere sign. The platoon got the sign off of a tractor that they found in Mosul and decided to mount it on their Stryker to be able to distinguish it from others in the Battalion.
